Akama is located in Smiths Lake in the Pacific Palms area - which is part of the beautiful Great Lakes district of NSW, on the mid north coast of NSW.

Located between Forster (to the north) and Seal Rocks (to the south), just 3 hours drive north of Sydney and 1.5 hours drive north of Newcastle.

Travel by car to Pacific Palms is easy and is by motorway almost all of the way. From Sydney take the Warringah Freeway and Lane Cove Tunnel, then the F3 north to Newcastle, follow the Pacific Highway towards Hexham, proceed through Bulahdelah and take the turn 3km north onto The Lakes Way (Tourist Road No.6) traveling approximately 30 minutes onto Pacific Palms.

For those driving from Brisbane and all areas north, travel through Taree south, take the Tuncurry Road turnoff (approximately 15 minutes drive south of Taree) follow the road through Tuncurry/Forster and onto Pacific Palms.
